An Aviatrix Solutions Architect will guide you through launching the Sandbox Starter tool.
Everything is self-contained in a Docker image. You don’t need to install anything except a Docker run time on a laptop/desktop/VM/instance. The Sandbox Starter tool asks for a few prerequisite items listed below, and tool does the rest. It launches your Aviatrix Controller in AWS, then uses Terraform to automate the creation of an Aviatrix Transit topology in AWS (and optionally in Azure), a few VPCs and test instances ultimately building out a small cloud or multi-cloud network environment that you can use to understand the Aviatrix cloud network platform and appreciate the simplicity, automation, visibility, and control it offers.
What is required?
You do just 2 things:
- Launch the Docker container
- Input your AWS (and optionally Azure) API keys
No need to manually use AWS or Azure console, CloudFormation, setup a machine, install Terraform, or to write any code.
What are the pre-requisites? You will need:
- An AWS account with root access
- An AWS Access Key ID
- An AWS Secret Access Key
- Install Docker Desktop
- Ensure Docker Desktop is running on your Mac / Linux or Windows
There is a cost associated with Sandbox Starter, which will be charged to your AWS and Azure accounts.
The cost will be around $1/hour or $25 USD for a full 24-hour day, which includes both Aviatrix cloud network platform software and the underlying cloud compute.
